As I may have mentioned, in my adoption paper chase post, my husband and I want to adopt our second child. We sent off our adoption application to Lutheran in the end of July. Well… we’ve been matched. Yeah, I know, it just doesn’t happen that quickly. But, oh my, God is Good! As it turns out, we have a family member that is expecting that would like to make an adoption plan. So, we’ve been asked to consider adopting the baby. After much prayer, and seeking wise counsel from trusted friends, we have agreed. As far as we know, the baby is due sometime in March, possibly beginning of April. So, our adoption paperwork just got kicked into HIGH GEAR!
We are so excited!
And we have so much to do!
We have to write our autobiographies for the adoption home study. That is tough. Summing up our relationships with parents/siblings/neighbors in a few paragraphs is a daunting task!
We went and had our physicals and lab work drawn for the home study. We have to go back tomorrow to get our TB skin tests and then on Thursday to have them read. My husband hates needles, but is handling all of this remarkably well!
We have decided on the first name for either a boy or girl. The middle names for a girl are also decided. But, the middle names for a boy are still in progress. We have some ideas, just nothing set in stone yet.
Be blessed!
