A Collection of Adult Coloring Books to Love

There is something about coloring that just sets my mind at ease. It’s so soothing. It would appear that a lot of people agree with me, given the recent rise in popularity of adult coloring books! I own quite a few adult coloring books, and have quite a few more on my wishlist. I am convinced that there is a coloring book for every adult. There is just something about the process of coloring that can cause tension and stress to melt away. That is especially true when the message you are coloring is uplifting. The Illustrated Words of Jesus for Women Daily Devotional, written by Carolyn Larsen, takes you on an exploration of Jesus’ words of wisdom, insight, and love through Scripture. Even if you don’t color every day, it’s a great way to center your heart on uplifting messages that will reduce stress and tension. This one makes a great gift for tweens, teens, and women.

I own quite a few of the Stress Less coloring books. My favorites are the Stress Less Paisley and Stress Less Flower. They are so fun to color in.

Working on a page from these coloring books of cities, both real and imagined, is extremely calming. Sometimes I color them in realistic colors, as they would appear in a photo. Other times I color them in vibrant hues that are fun and make the image appear more abstract. My husband bought me the Fantastic Cities one, and I lurve it.

The animal coloring books are favored by my kiddos. I must confess to sneaking a page or two in their books, tho. They are so intriguing. My most recent favorite is the World of Color – A Journey of Coloring Challenges by Kerby Rosanes. Talk about some fun and challenging images to color. I just may need to get some new pencils for this one!
