Y’all know we love our VeggieTales in this house! It’s often the only way I can get veggies into my son. LOL. Seriously, though, we enjoy all thinkgs VeggieTales, so when we received the opportunity to review Yuletide Ice Cue Fair, a cute 8 x 8 softcover book, we said, “But, of course!”
About the book–It’s time for the Yuletide Ice Cube Fair, which is a wonderful time of year full of fun and festivity. Veggies gather all around to slurp slushies, munch snow cones, and ice skate on the frozen pond. The biggest attraction of the Ice Cube Fair is the Ice Cube Carving Contest. It’s amazing. The veggies busily carved Christmas feasts, angels, trees, and so much more. Each veggie trying to outdo the other and vie for the grand prize. Junior Aparagus, though, carves the smallest of the ice entries and made a tiny stable with a shepherd on one knee. He reminds kids and veggies alike that the most important thing on Christmas isn’t what is biggest or best, but is the babe Jesus.
This book is a great reminder that Jesus is what matters this season, and that He is God’s greatest gift to us.
This book is great for read aloud or for young reader independent reading. Mister has enjoyed reading it to his sisters many times already.
The Yuletide Ice Cube Fair retails for $3.99 and would be perfect to stick in a stocking!
