Wilton Giveaway

As many of you know, I recently had Sister’s birthday party.  For her party, I chose a ladybug theme.  I found the cutest Ladybug Cupcake recipe in Martha Stewart’s Cupcakes book, also on

Ladybug Cupcakes.

So, I went to Michael’s to get my supplies.  While there, I inadvertently learned that Marzipan, which is what the ladybugs in Martha’s recipe are made of, is made from Almonds.  Since Mister has a nut allergy, I knew I had to come up with a different way to make my ladybugs.

Anyway, while at Michael’s, I picked up my Wilton decorator tip # 233, which is what is required to make the spiky grass.  I also picked up these decorating essentials…

Decorator Bags

A 12 Piece Cupcake Decorating Kit

12 Piece Cupcake Decorating Set

Then I came home, jumped on Wilton’s website, and found this tutorial on correct decorator bag positioning.  All set, right?

Nope, still had to figure out how to make my ladybugs.  So, I spent HOURS web-crawling, and finally decided to make cookie balls and dip them in Wilton’s red candy melts

So, it was back to Michael’s!

Ah, finally, I was able to make cupcakes.

And here is how they turned out…

called Celebrate Birthdays in Style with the Wilton Party Products Review and Giveaway.

Of course, I had to enter to win, and then I had to share it with you!

Be blessed,

  1. Cute little lady bug you have there… and I dont mean the cup cakes. This is such a cute idea. I now wish I had a little girl to do stuff like this for.
