As a beginning homeschooler, I have scoured the internet looking for helpful hints and tips on what to expect.
I love this list, from TheHomeSchoolMom.com, and plan to share it with Hubs.
Fortunately, for me, Hubs already does everything on the list…
He does communicate with me
He does listen
He does help me “get away”
He does wear the “responsible” hat
He does budget for curricula
He does encourage us
He does care about homeschooling, and shows it
He does prioritize time for the two of us
And, He does so much more.
He even puts up with my complaints (already), and makes sure I have a functioning printer and what not, so I can print worksheets for the kids.
He makes helpful suggestions, and even withholds suggestions when I tell him all I want is for him to listen.
The list will serve as a visible reminder, for both of us, when things get rocky.
Can you offer any more tips for a new homeschooler?
