Kindle Fire Travel Express Case by WaterField Designs

Last year I had the opportunity to review a bag by WaterField Designs and LOVED it (you can see that review here).  In fact, I still use it nearly every day!  It is one of my two “go-to” bags for everything.  One of the things that I love about Waterfield Designs bags is that they are American made.  They do all the manufacturing in San Francisco, so they can control every step of the process.  I also appreciate that they use black, ballistic nylon (think bullet-proof vest) because it’s highly durable and keeps its luster for years to come.  Case in point… my WaterField Designs Vertigo bag looks new, minus the small area of milk spillage courtesy of Sister’s “spill proof” cup.

When I learned that Waterfield Designs was developing cases for the new Kindle Fire, I immediately requested to review one of the new cases.  I received the Kindle Fire Travel Express case for review, and I have to say… I LIKE IT!

Remember how I said they do all the manufacturing in San Fran?  That came in handy with the Travel Express, when they received THEIR Kindle Fire to test the prototype.  The the pocket for the power source–which is larger than expected–was not quite large enough for a good fit, they were able to fix the glitch by adjusting the design of the bag in a weeks time.  Try setting a record like that with outsourced product manufacturing!

The Travel Express stores and protects the Kindle Fire along with its cables, power brick, and accessories.  The soft, scratch-free pockets protect its contents from bumps and bruises.  The rigid plastic insert, which is part of the Kindle Fire pocket, keeps the Kindle Fire screen intact and free from scratches.  I can toss my Kindle Fire and accessories into this bag, put it in my travel bags, and take off.  I can also add optional D-rings and a strap to carry it over-the-shoulder.  This case is also made with the black ballistic nylon and has a colorful stripe (I chose green, but there are six colors available).  A YKK zipper secures everything tightly.

What’s cool is I can store my Kindle Fire in the Travel Express with OR without my leather kindle case.   I will definitely rest easier knowing my Kindle Fire is safe from harm when traveling.

WaterField Designs has bags, sleeves, pouches, and cases to meet all your needs, including iProduct (iPad, iPod, iPhone) cases, Kindle cases, camera cases, Nintendo 3DS cases, and much more.

Next on my list?  The Muzzeto bag.  So CHIC!
