VeggieTales- The Penniless Princess Review plus Giveaway (8/29)

The Penniless Princess is a Veggie adaption of the timeless story A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and teaches an important lesson about knowing your own true worth.

Synopsis– Sweet Sara Crewe has everything a girl could want, including a loving family, friends, and lots of frilly dresses in the closet!  When life’s turn takes Sara from riches to rags, will she realize that her true worth lies in her heart, not in what she has?  Help remind little ones who they are in God’s eyes with this inspiring new story.  A valuable lesson in knowing your true worth, the story is adapted from A Little Princess.

Verse:  Whatever is true, pure and lovely…practice these things.” – Phillippians 4:8

Our thoughts– SCORE!  VeggieTales has hit another home run with this soon to be classic VeggieTales episode.  Sister absolutely loved it, and so did I.  Mister thought it was cool, too.  Needless to say, it’s been viewed more than a few times here.  LOL.

I love how VeggieTales can take a hard topic, like knowing your true worth, and make it easy for even a three year old to get. My favorite line?  “Since God made us, His definition of beautiful is the one that’s really true.”

They also have this really cool The Penniless Princess Coloring Page that you can print out for your little ones to enjoy with the movie.  I love coordinating printables!

VeggieTales would like to give one lucky TBC reader their own copy of The Penniless Princess to enjoy.  Get a jump on the giveaway by following VeggieTales on Facebook, VeggieTales on Twitter, and VeggieTales on Pinterest.
