This Day in History: April 21

My quest for competency in all things history continues…

This day in American History

1789 A.D. John Adams was sworn in as the first vice president of the United States

1898 A.D. The U.S. Declared war on Spain.

This day in International History

753 B.C.  Traditionally held as the date that Rome was founded.

2004 A.D. Five suicide attackers detonated car bombs against police buildings in Basra, Iraq, killing at least 74 people.

2010 A.D.  Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II turns 84 today.  Happy Birthday to the Queen (not that she will ever know I wished it).

I am excited to announce that I received the opportunity to review an exciting children’s history adventure series called Miss Trimble’s Trapdoor

I have been reading these for myself and to my kids.  I will be posting my review soon (I have a few pages left to read)…

Be blessed,
