That Bald Chick has a New Facebook Fan Page and Twitter ID

I’ve been debating for several weeks about changing my Facebook Fan Page and Twitter ID, because I wanted a vanity URL on Facebook and Twitter ID that coincided with my new site.

However, according to Facebook rules, while I could update the URL of my fan page, I could not change the name of it.  I thought that it would look kind of weird to remain Lady V dZine but have a /thatbaldchick URL.  So, after much inner debate, I decided to take a leap and start a new fan page.

The new fan page URL is http://www.facebook.com/thatbaldchick

Please note- you WILL need to go LIKE this page!

I also decided that I would like to customize the landing page of my new fan page, so I used a tutorial by Rachel at Following in My Shoes on “How to Make a Custom Facebook Landing Page” and created one.

That Bald Chick on Facebook

Admittedly, it is probably not the best landing page ever seen, but I am rather proud of it!

As I mentioned, I also wanted to update my Twitter ID, so I did.  The new one is http://twitter.com/#!/thatbaldchick

Because I was able to update my Twitter ID, you WILL NOT need to re-follow on twitter.  Just make sure anything you tweet out now has @thatbaldchick in it, instead of @ladyvdzine.  Of course, as soon as I secured the @thatbaldchick ID, I immediately logged out and secured the @ladyvdzine ID again, so that I could tweet that the account had moved.  While both are mine, you will see me tweeting from @thatbaldchick.

Be sure to go “like” the new page—> facebook

And, if you weren’t already following, go do that now, too—> twitter

I am working on transferring the feed from the old site to this one, so once that is set up, I will let you know.
