Ten Books for an Amusing Autumn Agenda

My little Mister tested too smart for our public preschool.  He is three and tested as a five year old in everything.  Well, everything except that he can’t hop on one foot, but I am thirty five and can’t do that.  I guess he gets his physical prowess from me.  LOL.

So, he doesn’t NEED preschool.  But he WANTS to go to school and he wants to learn to read.  So, we checked into private preschools, and they were either too expensive or couldn’t meet his needs.  So, after prayerful consideration, we decided that we are going to home preschool.  I will confess, I am feeling a bit intimidated at the thought of home preschool.  My son is smart (he is just like his Daddy).  But, I think it is the best of our options, because I won’t have to worry about him getting bored in preschool when they are teaching stuff he already knows.  Recognizing that I need a little help, we went to Family Vision Library to look at curriculum.  I had wanted to get a faith based preschool curriculum, but couldn’t find what I wanted, so I picked up a copy of The Complete Daily Curriculum.

I will be planning our lessons with the daily curriculum, and will pull Sister into them as well.  I am also compiling a list of books that I want to get for us to enjoy together.  Here are just a few that I’ve found…

1.  If You Give a Dog a Donut
