Bummis Diapers

Bummis is a cloth diaper company that, like so many others, was started by Moms in the 1980’s. Three of them, actually. They were using cloth diapers on their own babies and were inspired to create what they needed. Bummis was a small home business until it grew too large to fit into any home. Bummis are the North American distributor for Tots Bots Easy Fit, which are manufactured in their own factory in Glasgow, Scotland, and recently sent me the Easy Fit in the Three Little Piggies print for review.

This diaper print is even cuter in person. The colors are so bright and crisp! The houses actually saw “straw house,” “brick house,” and “wooden house” under them. SO cute.

The Easy Fit diaper is a new diaper that combines the the convenience of an AIO with the benefits of an AI2. It is easy to use, easy to care for, washes up nicely, and dries quickly. Oh, and did I mention the inside is soft? The Easy Fit liner is a fold-out liner, which is used to “stuff” the diaper, and is made of three layers of soft minky fabric. You don’t have to unstuff it, because it will unstuff with the agitation of the washing machine. Clean hands are a plus! The minky dries quickly, putting this diaper back into rotation in a snap.

The diaper has a stretch waste and wide elastic in the back. It is a one size diaper, sized to fit from about 8-35 pounds. It has a snap rise. We were able to get a snug fit with this diaper without leaving any marks on Little Miss. We haven’t had any leaks with it, either. This is definitely one diaper I can see us sporting with a coordinating tee shirt a lot!

Drammy Droopers AI2

Drammy Droopers is a small business that sells custom made cloth diapers, reusable wipes, reusable cloth pads, and more. What makes this WAHM business unique is that it is run by three generations of women who pour their love, and creativity, into every stitch. Drammy Droopers products are hand made in the USA. Drammy Droopers recently sent me custom AI2 diaper (all in two), a Drammybag, and some flannel wipes for review. For the custom AI2, I chose the fun flowers print with the royal purple suede cloth lining. SO pretty!

The Drammy Droopers One Size AI2 pocket diapering system is designed to fit baby’s from about 10-35lbs and has triple row sizing snaps in front and crossover snaps on one side for a better fit for trim or smaller babies. The touchtape diapers include laundry tabs for safe washing.

The Drammy Drooper OS AI2 has an outer cotton fabric print and can be customized to have an inner layer of microfleece or suede cloth (which is available in an array of colors). This diaper doesn’t require a cover, as there is a hidden middle layer of PUL to keep moisture locked inside. The diaper comes with one large super soaker, and extras can be purchased separately. You can use the soaker alone, snapped into the diaper, for light to medium wetters. You can also use it with a second soaker stuffed into the pocket for heavy wetters. You can select 100% rayon or microfiber for the inner section of soakers (we got to try ZORB in ours), and the outside can either natural color bamboo/cotton, or suede cloth.

The Drammy Bag that I received has an outer cotton print layer with an inner PUL layer. The handle is sewn on at an angle, and the zipper is sewn so that the zipper pull is closest to the handle when zipped. This allows you to use gravity, or the door knob, as leverage when opening the bag with one hand. Pure genius. This bag has been through the wash several times, and is holding up quite well.

The flannel wipes are absolutely gorgeous, in addition to being perfectly sized, at 8×8 inches. They are double layer flannel and are serged flawlessly. I’ve used these as wipes and as wash cloths, and they wash up well.

Aside from having quality diaper products, I have to say that Drammy Droopers is spot on with their branding. The branding was consistent from the stickers that seal the packaging, to the label in the diaper, to the embroidery on the Drammy Bag, to the label on the bonus hand sanitizer that was included in my package. The hand sanitizer has a caribiner on it, so it is now permanently affixed to my purse strap, and advertising Drammy Droopers wherever I go. That’s smart marketing!

Little Beasties

Little Beasties is a WAHM cloth diaper maker with two LO’s of her own. She creates her own designs, many of them custom embroidered and all of them cute. She recently sent me her Damask One Size Custom Pocket Diaper for review with Little Miss. Ohmacuteness!

Little Beasties Diapers

That “I mustache you not to pinch me” is beyond cute!

Little Beasties One-size cloth pocket diapers are designed to fit babies from birth to about 36 pounds. They have triple reinforced snaps. Little Beasties have a soft outer fabbric (i.e. flannel) and a PUL ( polyurethane laminate) lining to make them water proof. They have a soft alova inner material, that goes against baby’s skin, which wicks moisture away. The leg side walls contain messes. They also have adjustable waist and leg elastics for maximum adjustability. A three-layer microfiber and flannel insert is included. The insert is adjustable with snaps.

Patty Pants

When it comes to cute hybrid diapers, Patty Pants has got it down pat! Patty Pants recently sent me a newborn and one-size diaper to review with Little Miss. Patty Pants hybrid diaper inner liners are made of bamboo, as are their fitted inserts. The hybrid shells are either woven or knit, and come in some UBER cute cute prints. I received the newborn hybrid in Rainbow Smiles Knit and the One Size Hybrid in the pink and grey knit.

We were able to use the newborn hybrid on Little Miss as soon as we came home from the hospital. It fit her tiny hiney perfectly! I love that it has the umbilical snap down, so we were able to use it comfortably even before Little Miss’ cord fell off. The newborn insert just lays in the shell. It is super soft against baby’s skin. It washed up well, even after being poo’d in.

The One Size Hybrid, which comes with either a fold down rise, or snap down rise, is sized to fit most babies approximately 12-37+ lbs, so we haven’t quite made it there yet. The OS insert snaps into place and is designed to fold over for a double layer of absorbency. NICE!

Patty Pants is a mother-daughter duo, Patty and Kate, based in Michigan and Virginia. As a mother of three, and grandmother of one, Patty decided to use her love for sewing and creativity to create sustainable diaper products for modern moms. Kate, a first time mom of one, was overwhelmed with all the cloth diaper lingo (I’m right there with ya, Kate!) that she encountered and began testing her own designs on her son. Then she teamed up with her Mom, and Patty Pants was born.

Kerrific Online

Kerrific is an online diaper source that was started by a WAHM with four littles at home. She found she was spending a lot of time trying to find the best products and prices to fit her growing family’s needs, and she became frustrated with the amount of time it took to find the deals and the fact that she had to visit SO MANY stores to find the things she needed and/or wanted. So, she started Kerrific with the goal to help other Moms find everything they needed in one place. Kerrific recently sent me a one size Babyland diaper and charcoal bamboo diaper insert for review.

Little Miss is barely tipping the scales at eight pounds now, so I didn’t think the one size diaper would fit her yet. Surprisingly enough, I was able to get a good fit around the legs by using the crossover tab. The added benefit of the hip snaps make this one diaper that I am sure will get plenty of use. The charcoal bamboo insert was a bit too bulky for my baby’s tiny hiney yet, so I used a microfiber insert with this and it worked well.
