Sweet Andy’s Cookies

Hubs has a bit of a sweet tooth, and really enjoys cookies, so I decided to surprise him with a gift box of cookies from Sweet Andy’s Cookies for our anniversary.

Sweet Andy's CookiesSweet Andy’s Cookies had it’s beginnings in the home of Andy and his wife Lissa.  In 2009, Andy left his job in the financial industry to pursue work with the church, which did not support his family.  While Andy and Lissa struggled to find other forms of income, church friends and family pulled together and provided home repairs, car maintenance, and often even groceries for the couple and their five children.

Andy desperately wanted to give back to those who had so generously helped him and his family, and one day decided to start baking cookies as “Thank You’s” for all of those who had helped his family during this time. When Andy and Lissa started handing out platters of cookies to friends and family that had helped them, friends were amazed that Andy had baked them himself and that they were so good.  One friend in particular, the owner of a deli, placed some cookies in his deli and they quickly sold out.  The rest, as they say, is history!

The cookies I gave Hubs for our anniversary are history, too!  Oh My YUM!

They were seriously good gourmet cookies!  I especially enjoyed the oatmeal raisin and the triple chip cookies.  Hubs really enjoyed the mint cookies.  The kids enjoyed whichever ones we gave them, which weren’t very many because we wanted them all to ourselves.  LOL.
