Suri the Octopus and Friends

Mayapple Baby recently launched a new set of teething toys called Suri the Octopus and Mayapple BabyFriends.  The marine themed teething toys, designed by husband and wife Melissa Huang and Mark Caldeira, is a set of three 100% food-grade non-toxic silicone that is BPA and phthalates free.

The couple designed the teethers because they wanted teethers that looked and felt like toys but functioned as teethers for their kids.  Suri and FriendsThe teething toys are based on characters from an upcoming children’s book, Suri, which will be published by Mayapple Baby.

In the story, Suri meets The Wheel and The Anchor in a faraway sea and they travel the world together.  They discover how to overcome obstacles, as friends, and learn about the world around them in their journey home.

The teething toys are designed to bite, play, and collect.  Each teether has multiple textures and sensory points and are made to be easy for baby to grip and to reach both front and back teeth.  They have hard and soft places on each, making them perfect for all of baby’s teething phases.

The set is super cute and Sister had fun checking them out.  It took some talking to explain why she couldn’t take them straight to the bathtub.  LOL.
