Sesame Street- Wild Words and Outdoor Adventures

Sesame Street- Wild Words and Outdoor Adventures is a fantastic compilation of Sesame Street segments designed to teach your child about the outdoors and the Sesame Street Wild Words and Outdoor Adventuresenvironment in the world around them.  Divided into four segments, kids learn about hibernation (Baby Bear Hibernates); habitats (Big Bird’s New Habitat); nature (Wild Nature Survivor Guy); and camouflage (Camouflage Challenge).  It also has a bonus Alphabet Jungle Song.

Now in its 41st season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history (130), as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award honoring the 40th year.

True to it’s reputation, this Sesame Street DVD is loaded with fun, learning, and celebrity guests.  Special guests include: Jimmy Fallon, Kyra Sedgwick, Lin Manuel Miranda, Debra Messing, Cameron Diaz, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Meredith Viera.  While I am not familiar with many of the celebrity guests that appear on Sesame Street, I do appreciate that they take the time to appear and make learning fun.

Each lesson introduces new vocabulary words,  explains the meaning, and then reinforces the learning with engaging stories about the words.   My kids really enjoy Sesame Street DVDs.

Mister really enjoyed learning more about camouflage, making Sesame Street- Wild Words and Outdoor Adventures a sure hit.   Especially since we enjoy learning about the outdoors, and this DVD makes it so much fun.

Check out this clip, and you will see why.

Warning: the “That’s Camouflage” song may become stuck on repeat in your brain.  It’s cute.  But don’t say I didn’t tell you it might happen!
