Sausage and Cheese Quiche

Do you know how hard it is to find a blue pie plate?  I looked all over and finally found this Stanley Roberts Ceramic Scalloped Pie Plate at a part of CSN Stores, so I had to order it.  We were missing having quiche!

I use a basic quiche recipe, and to be honest, I have no idea where I found it.  Then I add whatever mix-ins we are in the mood for.  To test the new pie plate, I opted for a sausage and cheese quiche.  I used the microwave to thaw six pre-cooked sausage patties, then ground them and added them to the basic quiche recipe.  I topped it off with the shredded cheese.

It came out perfect!  Look at this beauty!

Sausage Egg Quiche

3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. Bisquick
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. shredded cheese
6 pre-cooked sausage patties, thawed and crumbled.

Spray pie plate with non-stick spray and set aside. Mix first three ingredients in bowl.
Pour mixture into pie plate.  Sprinkle crumbled sausage evenly over mixture.  Top with cheese.
Press down gently. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
