Rock ‘N Learn Multiplication Rap

Someone asked me recently if we really like the Rock ‘N Learn DVD’s.  I replied with a resounding YES!  Why do we like them so well, you might ask?  We like the Rock ‘N Learn Rock N Learn Multiplication RapDVDs because we know that learning set to music is learning that is fun AND learning that lasts!  One such example is the Rock ‘N Learn Multiplication Rap DVD.

The Rock ‘N Learn Multiplication Rap DVD is approximately 46 minutes long.  It features D.J. Doc Roc, the Hip Hop Hamster, who teaches the multiplication facts through twelve.  The multiplication facts are set to fun music that is high energy and has positive lyrics.  The DVD features a different song for each set of rap facts, so you can focus on one set at a time, if you wish.

The songs are easy to learn and the DVD also includes skip counting songs.

While the DVD is recommended for Grades 3 and up, we all know that Mister is advanced mathematically, so I was glad to offer him a challenge.  Here he is working on the multiplying by two’s song…

He doesn’t have it completely memorized yet, but he IS only five so that’s okay.  LOL.

Mister says that he wants the Rock ‘N Learn Life Science DVD next, but I think we may get Sister the Rock ‘N Learn Addition & Subtraction Rap, since the Multiplication Rap is going over so well with Mister!

I have a feeling my son will like this type of thing once we begin homeschooling. Any time the television is on he turns into a zombie baby – just glued to the screen. This looks like a great way to keep your child’s attention and get them to learn!
