Subscription boxes are really trendy right now, and you can get them in just about any shopping category. One I recently had the opportunity to review is the Citrus Lane box for November, assembled for my 7 month old daughter.
I had to smile when I opened it, because the Citrus Lane wrapping is bright and cheerful.
Citrus Lane packs your box each month with a variety products for your child, based on their age and gender (newborn to age 5). Products included range from toys, books, health and hygiene products, and more. Past boxes have even included swaddle blankets for the babies. The subscription boxes are $25 each when you subscribe month by month, or $21 each when you subscribe for six months or longer.
The contents of my box were:
3.4 oz Babytime Playful Wash by Episencial
Babytime Playful Wash is an ultra-gentle all-over cleanser with pure tangerine oil, calendula, and aloe. It is pH balanced to be eye-safe and quick-rinsing.
It retails for $9.19 for 8oz at Diapers.com (i.e. $3.90 for 3.4 oz)
Begin Again Green Ring Teether
The Green Ring Teether is a 2 stage teether, mde in the USA from Green Dot corn starch bio resin and maple wood. The outer ring pops off for soft teething (and grabbing) and the wooden ring can be chewed on, too. The soft outer ring is dishwasher safe. Green Rings are 100% compostable! The two materials offer fundamental two-stage play:
It retails for $10 on the Begin Again Toys site, but can often be snagged on Amazon for $8.99.
Rattle Roller from Green Tones
The Rattle Roller is sized perfectly for little hands to grasp and shake, and boy does Little Miss shake it! The bell is tucked safely in a colorful wooden cage and the sides are smooth. It is made from Rubberwood with a non-toxic, clear-coat finish over vegetable dyes. I was glad to see that the clear coat is non-toxic and that the color is from vegetable dye, as Little Miss is leaving a few teething marks on it.
It retails for $10.29 on Amazon
Plum Organics Little Yums Teething Wafers
Little Yums are a line of baby teething wafers, from Plum Organics, made with whole grain buckwheat and real fruit & veggies. The wafer easily dissolves, is baked, is certified organic and non-GMO, and has no artificial flavors or preservatives. We’re delaying grains because Little Miss didn’t react so well when they were offered, so these will be enjoyed by the other two resident kidlets.
Retail price for $3.99/6pack at Walgreens (i.e. $0.50 each)
Boon Dive Bath Tub Appliques
Perfect for bathtime play, the appliqués do not absorb water, which reduces the risk of mold and mildew. The shapes float in water and stick to bathroom walls when wet. BpA-free, Phthalate-free and PVC-free. These will be wrapped for Christmas.
It retails for $8.09 on Amazon
Overall, I am pleased with the contents of the Citrus Lane box for my baby. The overall retail price for my box would be $31.77- 32.78, depending on where the Green Ring comes from. Since it will all be used, I think it’s a good value, and will be signing up.
