It’s been a few years since Hubs and I have done anything special for New Year’s Eve. With three kidlets in the nest, it’s just not very easy to get away on New Year’s Eve, as the people who we would trust babysitting are generally busy. One of these years, we’ll go all out and attend one of the many awesome New Year’s Eve celebrations around St. Louis. The First Night in St. Louis is a family-friendly, alcohol free event draws nearly 25,000 people who enjoy an evening of singing, dancing and art, which sounds awesome, but a night away from the kidlets would warrant the price tag of the New Year’s Eve Ball that is held at the Airport Marriott.
What would I wear to a New Year’s Eve Ball, you might ask? DressFirst.com has some beautiful dresses, ranging from wedding dresses, evening dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and cocktail dresses. I perused and found a few that I thought would be suitable for a New Year’s Eve Ball. Here are a few that caught my eye.
This A line satin chiffon dress is gorgeous. I’d have to do something to cover the girls, though, as the wouldn’t like the exposure. 😉 Perhaps some gold lace tacked in there would do the trick. The back of the dress is a simple, classic cut sure to flatter. It’s shown in Ivory, but is available in many colors, including champagne. I think it’d be gorgeous in champagne! Black would also be very pretty.
This one-shoulder sheath is very pretty. The touch of lace at the shoulder and along the back is a delicate look.
I think one of my favorites is this little black number. The square neckline on this sheath dress is beautiful, with it’s touch of ruffle at the bust line.
It is available in an impressive array of colors.
The back is simple, and the slight rushing at the waist cumber band is sure to slim.
Many of the dresses on Dressfirst.com are Made-To-Order. You can choose a standard size, or if you prefer you can use custom measurements. Using the “custom size” option ensures that your dress will be personally tailored for your exact fit.
