I was sitting at the desk, typing away, when Hubs rounded the corner and asked, “Are they eating?”
Of course, I glance toward the kitchen, thinking Mister and Sister are raiding the cabinets. They aren’t in there. So, I look back at Hubs and he glances down at the floor.
There they were, all gathered around for a My Little Pony party. Aww, isn’t that cute? A few minutes later, Sister enters and says, “they drinking some water.”
Sister has a thing for horses, so she has quite the assortment of MLP figures. The ponies are what get packed in her “go bag” anytime we are leaving town, or plan to be away from the house for a while. If I had to guess, I’d say she has between 15 and 20 ponies. And since I am a pony snob, all she has are the MLP brand.
Oh, yah. The braids. I did that. If I didn’t, their hair would be in knots, and I know how hard those knots are to get out, since I had my own collection of My Little Ponies when I was growing up. I wanted to spare Sister the trauma.
So far, Sister doesn’t realize that there is an entire LINE of My Little Pony products, including My Little Pony Movies. Judging by the fact that the MLP’s have been some of her favorite toys for nearly two years, this could be a lifelong obsession. I’ve thought about using My Little Pony Party Supplies for her next birthday party, if she is still into them.
My Little Ponies are to Sister what Legos are to Mister. The go to toy.

OMG – you’re going to think I’m crazy, but I had a boy and loved My Little Ponies, so I bought them for myself…as an ADULT.

Zippy I don’t think you’re crazy. If I hadn’t had a daughter, I would have bought them all for myself. I loved MLP when I was growing. MLP and Strawberry Shortcake. LOL.

After seeing Zippy’s comment I’m seriously considering going out and buying myself one. Loved these as a little girl. A while back my boys got them in a Happy Meal, they were mistakenly given the “girl” toy. They were so intrigued by them! It cracked me up! A My Little Pony party sounds perfect!

I had SO many of these growing up- some even survived & are now played with by my son, who loves horses, even if they’re bright purple with ice cream stamped on their butts.
