Missed Mamavation Mondays like MAD

Okay, so the last few weeks have been crazy busy, and I have missed Mamavation Mondays like MAD!  Once you know the feeling of having a whole Sistahood support you in your weight loss endeavors, going without that support is something akin to a meth addicts withdrawal symptoms.

That bad!

So, I am trying EXTRA hard to get my Mamavation Monday post up and live in time for the show tonight.

The scale has been my nemesis for the last week.  It just will not move in the direction I want it to move.  I hit 171 lb at one point, but then I really started hitting the Total Gym hard, and the little nemesis jumped all the way up to 176.  NOT nice.

It has hovered around 171.4 to 172.2 for the last week.

And I want to punch it.

I know, I know.  I said I don’t really care about the number on the scale.

Apparently, I was mistaken.

Anyway, the Mamavation Monday question this week is:

“How have you recently stepped up to support someone in your life?”

The only thing I can think of right now is with a friend of mine, whose marriage is kind of rocky.  Hubs and I have been trying to help them for a while now, and I lend an ear whenever I can.  I’m not at liberty to go into details, but being a friend to both parties is about the best I can do in the situation, and I hope I have achieved that.

So, back to Mamavation…

I am seriously considering tossing my hat in the ring for the Campaign 9.  I know I have only two days to get a video done and uploaded if I intend to apply!

What do you think?

This post is sponsored by EatSmart Products and I’m writing this to be entered into a EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale giveaway hosted by Mamavation .

  1. It’s so hard NOT to care about what the scale says, because it’s quantifiable “proof” of our hard work. However, sometimes it doesn’t actually reflect our hard work. So keep up with the workouts and don’t be discouraged! You’re doing wonderfully. 🙂

  2. Don’t worry about the number on the scale. If you have been hitting the gym hard lately chances are you have been building muscle and burning fat. Muscle weighs more than fat and also helps BURN fat. You are probably at a plateu and as soon you are done building the muscle you will see the weight loss again. Just push through and don’t give up. You’ll get there! Keep it up!

  3. What the heck? Why not toss your hat in there?!

  4. good luck with your weight loss journey, welcome back
