Lunchtime Fun

I was visiting my friend Amy’s blog, when I saw her post on Creative Kid Feeding.  I decided to give the cottage cheese snowman a try for the kids lunch, and they were definitely fans!

I used a half cup cottage cheese for the snowman face, raisins for his eyes, orange bell pepper for his nose, and red bell pepper for his mouth.

Shock of all shocks?  My son actually ate bell pepper!  I’ve NEVER been able to get him to eat bell pepper!

Next time, I am definitely adding the rest of the body and using the celery to make arms.  Maybe I can get him to eat green, afterall!  I recently purchased the Yum-Yum Bento Box Cookbook and have been having a ton of fun cutting the kids sandwiches and such with my Wilton 101 Cookie Cutter Set.

I am amazed at the things I’ve been able to get them to eat because it’s cute.

  6. Spencer would love this. He is 3 so a bit more likely to eat cottage cheese. Jason on the other hand would not consider it because he is uber picky!
