Kolcraft Cozy Soft Cradle Mattress

When we brought the cradle up from the basement, where it has been stored for nearly four years, we realized that we need a new cradle mattress.  We’d sold ours after Sister moved out of the cradle into the crib.  Oops.

We’d used a Kolcraft cradle mattress before, and I was pleased to be able to request one as a Kolcraft Mom!

Kolcraft Cozy Soft Cradle Mattress

You can’t tell it in the picture, but there is a single cradle sheet on the Kolcraft Cozy Soft Cradle Mattress inside the cradle.  Anyway, the cradle mattress is wet-proof and wipes clean with soap and water.  That will be nice if we have any diaper leaks!  It is made of thick hypoallergenic polyester which is firm, but comfy enough for baby to rest.  The cradle mattress meets or exceeds all flammability, lead, phthalate and CPSIA testing and does not contain toxic fire retardants.

The cradle mattress is 36″ x 18″ x 2″ and shouldn’t be used with cradles with inside dimensions larger than 18.5” x 36.5”.  In other words, there should be no more than half of an inch around the mattress, between it and the cradle sides.

The cradle mattress retails for $24.99

Sister has decided she wants to sign up for the 2 o’clock feeding.  She put her pillow next to the cradle, so she could “hear the baby if she waked up.”  Too cute.

Our cradle was handmade by a dear friend of mine.  Unfortunately, after years of being stored in the basement, it is a bit wobbly, so I don’t know if we can use it safely.  Which is kind of a bummer, because it was awesome with Mister and Sister, and it holds a lot of sentimental value for me.

Many thanks to Kolcraft for providing the above product for inclusion in the Baby Shower Gift Guide! Learn more about the Kolcraft family of products by liking Kolcraft on Facebook and following Kolcraft on Twitter.
