Homeschool Co-op

Since we homeschool year round, we decided to do first day photos on the first day of our homeschool co-op, which was this week.  This is our first year of co-op, and we are all excited about it.

I had their “first day” outfits all picked out in my mind.  Then as we were having breakfast on co-op morning, Mister and Sister both decided that they wanted their shirts to “match” their backpacks.  I literally went through over sixty shirts to find these two shirts, because she HAD to have a monkey shirt, and he HAD to have a shark shirt.

It was worth it.  Check out these cuties!

Mister and Sister are both taking a Bible Exploration class, a Recycled Art class, and KinderChoir.  Mister is taking Apologia’s Exploring Creation with Zoology 2- Swimming Creatures class and Sister is taking a Little Hands to Heaven class.

Our classes run from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. one day a week!  Then we have AWANA on Tuesday nights (I see slow cooker meals in our future, LOL).

I wasn’t sure how they would do, since it is our first time doing co-op.  I was pretty impressed.

We can’t wait for next week!

About Virginia

Hi there! My name is Virginia, and I am the author/owner of That Bald Chick. I am a Christian, wife, mother of three, full time homemaker, homeschooler, and ministry volunteer in addition to being a blogger. In my free time *cough* I enjoy reading, writing, taking walks with my family, and listening to music.

  1. Hooray for their first day; how excited they look! Curious about your co-op school; how does that work? We are in WI and my sitter tried to find out if she could co-home school with another family and her research said she couldn’t–is that a state specific thing? Where can I find out more about homeschooling co-op rules? Thanks!

  2. That is so cute! Love that they wanted shirts to match their backpacks.
