Full of Surprises

You may have noticed that I’ve been a little MIA over the last few days…

We went to Kansas City, Missouri for Christmas (by we, I mean Hubs, Mister, Sister, my parents, and I).  We actually stayed in the burbs, where Hubs folks live.  While there, Hubs arranged with our folks for them to watch the kidlets while he and I went into the city to visit Crown Center.  As we drove into the city, I jokingly asked him what tricks he had up his sleeve.  He smiled and asked what tricks I thought would be there.

After wandering around Crown Center for several hours, we decided we would have dinner.  He suggested that we drop our bags at the van before we went to eat, and I thought that would be a fantastic idea.  So, we headed toward the parking garage.  But, hubs detoured to the customer service desk at The Westin and requested to check in.  Huh?  Check in?

Yep.  My ever thoughtful husband chose to surprise me with a child free day in the city and then a child free night at the Westin.

Here is a picture of our room and the view…

Inside Crown Center, there is a huge hanging Christmas tree…

It was just gorgeous.  And, just because I am a little weird, I had to get a picture from below it…

Isn’t that gorgeous?  I love how you can see the railing from the second floor on the sides, as well as the topiaries.

I have to say, I love it when Hubs surprises me like this.

Do you like surprises?
