Last week I teamed up with a few other bloggers that also own Fitbit’s for our first Fitbit Blogger Challenge. The prize? Bragging rights.
Whether by chance, or because several of the bloggers forgot to wear their Fitbit Ultra Activity Tracker’s for the duration of the contest, or because several just had “off” weeks, or because I stepped it up…
I won the first Fitbit Blogger Challenge with 89,440 steps for the week. Granted, a solid half of those steps were done in three days (15K+ steps a day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
We are going to do the challenge again starting on Monday, June 3rd.
I’m glad we took this week off, because my knee didn’t quite agree with all those steps. I’ve had to use my knee strap the last two days, and did well to barely managed 9K+ steps and 8 flights of stairs yesterday. Here’s hoping a few days of taking it easy will have me ready for the next challenge!
In case you’ve missed my other posts on the Fitbit Ultra, it is like a pedometer, only SO. Much. Better. The Fitbit Ultra Activity Tracker logs daily steps, distance walked, calories burned, flights climbed, and activity level. It also measures how long and how well you sleep. It syncs with other activity/weight tracking apps such as LoseIt (which is what I use) and MyFitness Pal.
Quite honestly, the only time I am not wearing mine is when I am in the shower or in the swimming pool (it is not water proof).
Wish me luck on the next Fitbit Blogger Challenge!
**The Fitbit Blogger Challenge is not officially sponsored by Fitbit. It is merely a group of us bloggers who happen to be Fitbit enthusiasts trying to
egg encourage each other in our fitness journey.**
***While I was provided a courtesy sample of the Fitbit Ultra to facilitate my initial review, no additional blog posts were required. I just love this thing. I had also already purchased my own Fitbit Classic, and would purchase the Fitbit Classic or Fitbit Ultra again***
