Finding Balance in 2014 #BalancePledge

Press Sample

Seven days into the New Year, and many Americans are still going strong in their New Years resolutions.  As I’ve mentioned previously, I tend to set goals rather than making resolutions.  They just work better for me.  That is why I agreed to take the Balance Bar Pledge when they reached out to me.

I am going to take small steps through easy-to-follow lifestyle changes.  I started with joining the gym, so I can work out with my bestie a couple times a week.  I bought a workout DVD to use at home on days that I can’t go to the gym.  I dusted off the elliptical in the basement.  I’m doing more physical activities with the kidlets, and they are “working out” with me when I do the DVD.

The Balance Bars come in handy when I need a protein boost after a workout, which is important for muscle repair.  Of the three flavors I tried, Dark Chocolate Peanut, Chocolate Mint Cookie Crunch and Yogurt Honey Peanut, the Chocolate Mint Cookie Crunch is my favorite, as it tastes like a certain minty girls club cookie to me.  YUM.  The Dark Chocolate Peanut is a close second.

You can also take the New Year’s Balance Bar Pledge on Facebook.

Balance Bar is hosting a Balance Bar Twitter Chat on Thursday, January 9th at 2 pm. EST.  Be sure to follow @BalanceBar and @QuickieChick for the live chat.

And now one lucky reader will win a Balance Bars Prize Pack, that includes a variety of Balance Bars, a 2014 calendar, and a pair of Yurbuds. Enter below, and good luck!
