I was recently introduced to a new internet based company called Be Greater Than. After I checked out the website, I was really excited about this new company. Be Greater (B >) was created with the vision of getting you connected to a cause you are passionate about. You’ll love our simple design and our kickass sentiments, cleverly written in mathspeak. Take a stand. Be Greater. What really excited me is that a portion of all proceeds from the sales of Be Greater Than products is given to a local charity.
I excitedly sent an email to the site owner to introduce myself and Lady V dZine. We agreed to a blog review for the Fantastic Father’s Day Finds promotion. Kelly sent me the B>yesterday shirt for my husband to review.
About the product (per http://www.begreateronline.com/)…
“The Story of B>
Last spring, my husband and I attended a family wedding where a beautiful Native American prayer was read as part of the ceremony. It was an interesting way of making an otherwise non-religious wedding into a very spiritual celebration. I was suddenly curious how Native Americans view their God and the energy in the universe. When I asked my aunt Jan, the officiant of the wedding, about the prayer, her response was simple: Native Americans honor “greater than” or the Great Spirit- a spirit beyond this world, too great to be named or described.
From this conversation, B > was born. We’ve created Be Greater Than t-shirts to inspire and motivate you to rise above whatever evils exist in your world.
What do you want to be greater than?”
What I thought…
The Be Greater Than shirt that we received for review was the B>yesterday/today/ The shirt is simple, yet makes a timeless statement.
Here is Dear Hubby modeling it (please note, the text on the shirt is actually straight, but he is standing on an uneven surface).
The shirt is black on sport grey, 90%cotton 10%polyester. The typeface is slightly distressed or grunged, which adds character and appeal. The garment washed well.
What I would change…
I really like the concept of this company, and the shirts that they produce. I would love to see the B> line in more color options and have more B> sayings.
