One of the very first diaper covers that I ordered for Little Miss was from Evelyn’s Favorite Diapers. Evelyn’s Mommy, and maker of the diapers, is Aubrey. Once upon a time, Aubrey was one of my youth. It tickled me pink to order a one size diaper cover from her, and she kindly included another cover for review.
The covers are made of PUL fabric. The cover on the left is snapped at the smallest setting, and the cover on the right is snapped at the largest setting. Both came with a homemade insert.
The one size diaper cover has cross over snaps on the wings, and a three size snap rise. The inside of the front has a flap for you to tuck the insert under if you wish.
The inserts are soft and cushiony, albeit a little bit thick for a newborn. I use them now without any problem, but in the beginning I just paired the covers with pre-folds. Of the two prints that I received, the pink sassy cheetah print is my favorite. The cupcakes are cute, but the cheetah print is PRESH! I mean look at that fluffy bum! #OHTHECUTENESS
These covers get a lot of use! They launder well and don’t leak, which is awesome.
A couple of weeks ago, Hubs mentioned that he’d like to have a KC Chiefs diaper for Little Miss for football season, so I mentioned on Facebook that I was looking for a KC Chiefs diaper. Aubrey let me know that she could make me one. I took her up on it and ordered a KC Chiefs diaper cover from her.
This cover is made of a layer of fabric backed by PUL. It has a hidden seam in the crotch, so that the pattern is upside ride on the front and back. It, too, has the crossover wing snaps and three rise settings. It is great, and Hubs was thrilled. I was thrilled, too, to see that Aubrey’s diaper making skills have improved. The first two covers I ordered were well made. This cover is perfect!
Evelyn’s Favorite Diapers offers a variety of diapering and “green” products including diaper covers, embellished prefolds, trainers, wet bags, wool soakers and longies, bibs, flannel wipes and reusable snack bags. Aubrey does a lot of custom orders, so if you want something you don’t see, just ask her. Check out the photo albums for available products and fabric choices.
