As you know, fellow blogger, and #mamavation enthusiast, Patricia (known as @pawf1067 on twitter), challenged me to repeat or beat my elliptical time/calories burned this past weekend.
Through playful banter on Twitter, we were
egging encouraging each other about exercise and calorie burns. Another #mamavation enthusiast, Simone (@KuveeS), tweeted us that it would be neat to see a video of the challenge and that she was going to try and do a 1K burn as well, if we didn’t mind her joining the challenge. Of course we don’t mind!
I did my elliptical challenge response yesterday, but had to wait until today to share the video, because Hubs is the tech geek, not me.
As they say, the proof is in the display!
I apologize for the motion on the latter part of the video, I am not so great at moving and holding a camera. I can’t chew gum and walk either. LOL.
As it turns out, I did beat both Patricia and Simone, although Simone came pretty close!
I have to say, working out would be SO MUCH HARDER if it weren’t for an awesome playlist and great twiends like these!
Today, I went grocery shopping with two toddlers in two grocery stores, managed a quick trip to Babies R Us for disposable training pants, and then came home and managed 2.9 miles on the elliptical in 30 minutes (435 calories burned) before I had to quit. My glutes are NOT loving me right now. But, I am loving that they are changing shape!
And now, I challenge you… do one thing this week to improve your health.
