Choccreate Review plus Coupon

Chocolate is one of my favorite food groups.  Seriously, though.  I may be calorie counting, but I make room in my count at least once a week for some yummy chocolate.  The darker, the better.

I recently had the privilege of reviewing three custom chocolate bars from Choccreate.

Choccreate

Choccreate is a website where you can custom create and design your own personal chocolate bars. Featuring over 101 ingredients, including various nuts, fruits, decorative items, herbs, spices, and even gold, in your choice of milk, dark, or white chocolate.   There is something for the chocoholic in everyone.

My custom chocolate bars included a dark chocolate bar with ground espresso, a dark chocolate bar with dried Gogi berries, and a dark chocolate bar with cocoa nibs and red chili powder.  choccreate

I have to say, of the three, my favorite was the dark chocolate with ground espresso.  No big surprise there, since coffee is another favorite food group.  My chocolate.  My way.  Yum.  The cocoa nibs and chili powder dark chocolate bar was scrumptious.  And I could not believe the size of the berries in the Gogi berry and dark chocolate bar!

I did notice that the chocolate bars weighed slightly less than the labeling stated, but only because I am calorie counting and all things get weighed around here.  I was concerned about it, at first, but after weighing similar bars from other companies, I realize that some weight variance is to be expected with molded chocolate bars.

Easter is coming up, quickly, and what better way to show your chocolate lover how much you adore them than by giving them yummy treats from Choccreate.

Now through April 15, 2012, you can save 10% on your custom Choccreate order with discount code baldchick.   Enter the code at checkout.   I’ve already created a new bar for myself , dark chocolate with granulated honey and apricot, and ordered it.   Squee!

Walgreens Revamps Digital Circular #newWAGcirc #cbias

One of the things I do on Friday mornings is look at #newWAGcircthe Walgreens Weekly Ad Sneak Peek that I receive by email.

I signed up for the weekly ad sneak peaks last year, when I started couponing again.

Walgreens groups coupons in #newWagcircBrowsing the Weekly Ad Sneak Peek has allowed me to plan my weekly shopping trips.  One of the things I really like about the Weakly Sneak Peak is that it features additional in-store offers as well as online exclusives and bonus buys.

One of the things that has always annoyed me, both about the print ad and the digital circular, was that the Walgreens coupons were located on the bottom of each page, and if you wanted to use multiple coupons, you had to clip multiple pages.  Time. Consuming.  Why not just put them all together?

#newWAGcircWell, Walgreens has revamped their digital circular, and those coupons will now be grouped together by category on easy-to-find pages.

We asked.  They listened.

#newWAGcircWanna know what other features the new digital circular has?

<—Online ads now also allow for social sharing (via Facebook, Twitter, email, or text) with the “quick look” function.

Just hover over the item in the digital circular and click on the “QUICK LOOK” button.  It will pop over a description of the deal, with the option to share the deal.

How cool is that!  So, since I know a friends diaper stash is dwindling, I shared the deal with her on her Facebook timeline, so she can get her coupons ready.

I love it.

#newWAGcircOh, and here’s the best part… if you haven’t previously signed up for the weekly ad sneak peak (via email on Fridays), you can do so now and get a $5 coupon for signing up.

imageLove. Saving. Money.

Speaking of saving money, this isn’t a new feature, but I thought I would point it out…

<—There’s a tab at the bottom of the sneak peak page, where you can view coupons online.

You can print coupons that are manufacturer coupons and those that are WAG’s specific.

Thank you, Walgreens!
