I’ve recently developed a penchant for skirts. I love ‘em.
Especially since I have such a hard time finding a dress to fit the top of me AND the bottom of me. Either it fits on top, and is way too big on bottom, or it fits on bottom and cuts me in half at the cup. Skirts, though…
Skirts are my friend, and they are a perfect alternative to a dress, because I can have the ease and elegance of a dress without the body image distortion problems. LOL.
When the Soft Surroundings Fall Catalog came out, I absolutely fell in love with (all of) the skirts. Especially the tiered knit skirt. It was pretty and looked like it would be the perfect skirt to either dress up or dress down in.
What I didn’t imagine was how incredibly soft it would feel.
Soft Surrooundings has a “Softness Rating” scale on their site. A “1” is so soft, a “2” is heavenly soft, and a “3” is ultimate softness. The beautiful dip-dyed skirt that I reviewed from the Soft Surroundings Outlet, a few weeks ago, was listed as a “2”. I thought this skirt would be similar in softness, as it is also a “2” on the softness scale.
Let me just say, if this skirt is a heavenly soft, I would love to know what their ultimate softness is, because this thing feels like butter on your skin! It is so amazingly comfortable (not to mention slimming). I think I could live in it. I just want to curl up in it for evah! In fact, I want one in every color of the rainbow. Guess I will have to settle for two colors, as it is available in Mist Heather Grey and Black.
The seems in this skirt are flawless, and raw-edged ruffles are perfectly layered. The skirt is washable and it should be laid flat to dry. This is one of those wardrobe pieces you hope will last forever, because it makes you FEEL so good!
