I’ve spent the last couple of days drinking really strong chai. I don’t typically drink chai, or any other flavored tea for that matter. I am a coffee drinker. I love a good cup of coffee. But, I’ve had this nasty head/chest cold since Monday, and coffee just hasn’t tasted good.
I know, right? A travesty. A true travesty.
So, I brewed chai as thick and strong as I could stand it, just so I could taste it.
While I was bemoaning the trials of tasteless coffee, I had to chuckle at one of my all time favorite coffee mugs…

I’d drink flavored tea if the flavor was “Really strong coffee.” Love. Her.
Of course, here I was, drinking really strong chai out of a Maxine mug that decries the value of flavored tea. Ironic, huh? Well, I didn’t want to waste my good coffee on useless taste buds and I needed caffeine. I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. You try being a nice Mommy with no taste buds, a head/chest cold, and no caffeine! Nope, I had to sacrifice the chai.
