My question for you for Aloha Friday is…
What was your favorite cartoon character as a child, and do you have any funny stories to go along with it?
My favorite cartoon character was Strawberry Shortcake. I loved her, Lemon Meringue, and all their little pals. My Mom sewed a lot when I was growing up. So, one year, she made me a Strawberry Shortcake doll. She also made my sister a Lemon Meringue doll. I will have to dig out the photos and post one, they were TOO cute!

Gosh…. Holly Hobby for awhile… we had everything- the wallpaper, dolls, bedspread…everything.

I don’t know if I had any favorite cartoon character. We didn’t watch tv very often when I was young. I do remember bugs bunny, tweety, roadrunner etc.

Hands down…my favorite was Bugs Bunny. Such a clever wabbit! No funny stories, however.
I liked the Smurfs & Rainbow Brite. Sorry no funny stories.
For some reason, I used to LOVE the Tazmanian Devil. He’d make me laugh so hard. I was such a dork – I had a Taz sweatshirt I loved to wear and jammies too – lol!
Hmmm…I’m not sure that I really had one…I’m trying to think back on if I ever had character sheets or anything and..I don’t think I did! I remember the cartoons, I just don’t believe I was ever that into them.
Also, that is adorable. Go your mom on sewing those dolls!
