I used Vicki Parker’s (A Work in Progress)Sweet Flora kit to do this desktop wallpaper for my laptop.

Isn’t it too cute?  I just love the picture of Zane kissing Selah on the top of her head!

Here’s a few more pix of the week.  These one’s are not scrapped, as I am sorely lacking on digiscrap supplies and hard drive space on my laptop!

Here Zane is watching as I dress Selah in her traveling clothes.  My friend, Amanda, got this dress for her and Brian liked it so much he asked if we could put it on her to take her “home” to the hotel when we left the hospital.

This is Selah with her soft pink blanket.  Zane’s first picture is with his soft blue airplane blanket, also sans clothing. 

This is likely one of my favorite photos so far!

Getting a new sister means all sorts of fun and adventure… here Zane climbs into the cabinet drawer.

 

Here Zane eats his first ever Happy Meal.  (Thank you, Jesus, for protecting Zane’s arteries).

Zane thought it would be fun to drag the toilet paper from the hotel bathroom to the hotel living room…

As many of you know, my DH and I are in the process of adoption.  We are adopting from within my family, and have been in touch with Michelle (birthmother) and Robbie (birthfather) throughout Michelle’s pregnancy. 

We got a call at 8:35 a.m. on Valentine’s Day, from Michelle, who said that the contractions were coming pretty fast, so we should start our drive to Michigan.

We loaded up the van, fed Zane some breakfast, and headed out.

Robbie called at 2:14 p.m. (CST) to tell us that the baby was born. 

Our daughter, Selah Grace Joelle, was born on 02/14/09 at 3:10 p.m. EST.  She weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces and is 18.5 inches long.  She has a head full of light brown hair, perfect lips, and long fingers.

Here are a few pictures of our new little one, one by herself, and one of her meeting her big brother.  Since I have only my laptop with us, and none of my digital scrap files, I am using a few quick pages that I found to showcase our Special Valentine…
