Who Is That Bald Chick?

***Updated 01/27/2012***

Hello.  My name is Virginia, and I am That Bald Chick.  I am a 36 years old Christian, wife, homemaker, and homeschooling mother of two delightful kids.  I started blogging, shortly after my son was born, as a way to keep in touch with the world.  After having been gainfully employed for nearly fifteen years, I was not accustomed to having unstructured time, had a lot of pictures, and needed a creative outlet.  Thus, I started blogging and digital scrapbooking.  Prior to that, I worked full time as an RN.

When I am not blogging, I enjoy time with family, reading (love my Kindle Fire), photography, pursuing fitness, homeschooling my kidlets, volunteering at a local community pantry, homemaking in general, teaching Sunday School, and working on the church’s website.  I want to relearn to knit, and one of these days will make a quilt, but not anytime soon.  Aside from writing here, I enjoy writing fiction and poetry, and am also a product reviewer for two other blogs.

As I said, I am married.  My husband, Brian, is affectionately referred to as Hubs, my Tech Geek, Honey, or just plain B.  He enjoys lighting and sound projects, is handy around the house, and is a great steward of his time and talents, as well as our treasure.  I don’t know what I did to deserve him, but I am so glad that I did.

Our son, affectionately called Mister, is 4 years old and homegrown.  He is bright, eager to learn, loves math, and really enjoys discovering what makes things work.  He enjoys music (he has two guitars and a set of drums… I have ear plugs). He enjoys building with anything, and can make a mean soybutter sandwich.

Our daughter,  Sister, will soon be 3 years old and was grafted into the vine (i.e adopted).  She is smart, an observer, and tenacious.  She loves horses, dogs, and kitty cats (though we have none).  She enjoys playing in the dirt, letting rain hit her in the face, and helping me fold wash cloths.  She likes to dance, and wear cowgirl boots.

As my children have grown, my site has grown.  While it started strictly as a scrapbook journey, it is now an eclectic mix about life, love, family, faith, adoption, photography, weight loss, fitness, cooking, recipes, kids, fashion, jewelry, home care, cleaning, shopping, nutrition, product reviews and giveaways, and so much more!

Thanks for stopping by.
